Weston-super-Mare Grand Pier to Wells Cathedral
Today is the start of our penultimate Marathon of the 7x7x7 Challenge. Running in aid of the amazing Charity “The MPS Society”.
6 year old Archie Pearson is a young lad that plays and lives his life with a disease called MPS – Mucopolysaccharide is a life limiting disease, unknown to many Archie wears a body brace for his spine and receives weekly treatment through dialysis. During a conversation with Archie I asked him “who was his hero in life?”, his reply was his Dad………..then I asked him “what about a REAL Hero” and his reply was “Batman”!
Archie said he dreamed of meeting the caped crusader from Gotham City…………………so, we sent a message to Gotham City and the latest news is we may be in luck as Batman may be visiting the UK on 31st May, so we dearly hope he finds time in his busy schedule to visit us in Weston-super-Mare on the Grand pier at 10a.m. We hope to see an appearance from the Super Hero himself before we start our 6th Marathon in 6 days, a special thanks go out to Paul of Keep Calm Events, a client and a good friend who knows Batman, “Keep Calm Events“
We hope to have guest runner Anna McNuff running with us today and also our Final Ultra Marathon tomorrow. Anna McNuff cycled through every state of America last year and is a 100% True Challenge Adventurer, the team and I are delighted to have her with us for the last 2 marathons.
We will be starting our fun from the Grand Pier at 10a.m and our run will begin at 10:30

We will starting from The Grand Pier Weston before heading out of Weston Town Centre along Locking/Milton Road before entering Worle High Street to meet Sponsors of 2 of our Marathons and a quick cheque presentation from Batman before continuing out through Wick-st-Lawrence and onto the A370 to Congresbury before joining the famous Strawberry Line out to Axbridge and Cheddar, linking up towards Wedmore and turning towards our finish destination of Wells Cathedral.
