LeJog or Jogle – What is it?

Recently the Challenge of cycling or running the length of Britain has made the news with a high % of those being cyclists. The planning of routes and length of time involved takes careful consideration. So, during my 7 marathons in 7 days challenge I was delighted to meet guest runner Claire Oziel who wanted to assist and support us during the Bristol to Bath marathon number 2.

During the run Claire mentioned that she had been planning the JogLe for many months and was attempting it as the first female to complete it unsupported. Camping en-route, running all hours and over 950 miles or eventually as Claire’s blog states, 1,000 miles in mind. #1000milesinmind

Claire was running in aid of the charity Go Wild Stay Well, a charity run by MIND TWS.

Running freely with a pushchair in hands takes practice and skill while focusing on your path, doing this for over 950 miles is inspiring. As Claire came and supported me and the team during the challenge I hope to repay the compliment and meet her during the Somerset leg of the challenge this weekend.

Having achieved over 700 miles so far since beginning her challenge in June, it’s nearly August so it gives you an idea of how committed and determined this young lady is. Follow her on Twitter and send her a Keep Going message. @ClaireOziem

The sight of bad blisters is every runners nightmare and if you check out Claire’s blog on triblogs.com/blog/1000miles you’ll see what I mean…….Ouch! Claire Oziem has gone through a lot of pain to have completed the 750 miles so far.

So, with the finish line in sight for Claire, all that is left to say is…..AMAZING, INSPIRING & Congratulations on attempting and what will be achieving something a female has NEVER done before, run the full length of the UK unsupported.

Keep Going Claire x

Sean Conway – Tri-Britain #runseanrun

Sometimes in life you’re lucky enough to meet someone who inspires you, someone who’s unique and willing to break down walls and go through that pain barrier to achieve a personal goal. That person is non other than Sean Conway, a South African born British Adventurer who is about to embark on what is and will become the first ever Tri-Britain challenge. Sean has already cycled the full length of the UK, in 2013 Sean Conway swam into the record books by becoming the first human to swim the length of Britain and now in August 2014 Sean will embark on the arduous task known as the JoGLE.

If this wasn’t enough, Sean is running self supported while camping under tarpaulins sheet and carrying his full kit. This combined with his latest and Greatest fun by being dressed as Forrest Gump, replicating the Bubba Shrimp hat and clothing worn by the famous movie actor Tom Hanks, Sean is well and truly doing this challenge in style. The Triple, Triathlon of Britain, begins in August and I look forward to running with this fellow crazy inspiring guy whom is set to make the headlines of the news this September, not Nationally but globally.

Give Sean support during the immense challenge via twitter @Conway_Sean or better still track him online during the challenge and meet him on the run. No vehicles or cycling permitted 8-) http://runseanrun.com
